Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is often credited for initiating the contemporary science-based study of children's eyewitness memory and child victim witnesses within legal situations. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and is the recipient of many awards at the national level and international. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the world on policies and the research of child victimization in the court system. She is also a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
